Rooted in Community. Powered by People.
4 The Invisible 1’s is a Black-founded, Black-led, 100% grassroots nonprofit organization created to respond to real needs within our communities. We are not built around large government contracts or distant decision-makers. Our work is powered by volunteers, individual donors, members, local businesses, and community partners who believe meaningful change begins with people helping people.
Being grassroots means we remain closely connected to the individuals and communities we serve. It allows us to listen, respond, and develop outreach efforts that provide practical support with dignity, compassion, and care. Every donation, partnership, and volunteer hour helps us continue serving others and creating lasting community impact.

What Grassroots Means to Us
Community-led. Volunteer-powered. Locally supported. Mission-focused.
Volunteer Testimonials

Martha Viltz,
Ambassador/Member
Port Arthur, TX
I remain with the organization because I don't want to see people in these situations, regardless of who they are or what has brought them there; they are still God's creation, and we are to love and care for everyone. Jesus said The poor we have always He didn't say they couldn't be helped by having empathy and sympathy, and our group goes out with this in mind to be our brothers and sisters; in their hard times, we see them, and we care by showing them.

NaKisha Viltz,
Volunteer Member Richmond, TX
I continue to support 4 The Invisible 1’s organization because giving back to the community has been my number 1 value, and the organization welcomed me with open arms, and I felt right at home. Helping this organization means a lot because it was instilled in me as a child from my grandmother and my mom. They have always helped feed and house people in need, whether they were a family member or a stranger, so this means so much to me, and I enjoy every moment.

I am a proud member of 4 the Invisible 1's because it is one of the best ways to be a humanitarian in the city of Houston. There is nothing more fulfilling than helping others in our communities that otherwise might go unassisted and unseen.
